Description (U):

(U) The Edzell Passive Radio Frequency (RF) space surveillance site tracks the signals emitted by satellites. The 2nd Command and Control Squadron (2CACS), housed at Schriever AFB, is the command and control node for the passive radio frequency (RF) sensors, which includes the 17 SSS (Edzell, UK). The Edzell site is used for the tracking of low altitude space surveillance.

(U) Loss of Edzell would have significant impact on the space surveillance mission and maintenance of the space catalogue.
