(U) Environmental Monitoring User Equipment


(U) This category addresses the environmental user equipment designed to provide timely, accurate, and reliable land, cloud, atmosphere, oceanographic, and space environment data to operational forces, either deployed or in-garrison. This includes supporting ground, naval, air, and space operations, and enhances the mission effectiveness of military forces and National agencies. The worldwide data from the space segment is provided to Centralized Weather Product facilities (Air Force Global Weather Central [AFGWC], Offutt AFB NE, and the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanographic Center [FNMOC], Monterey CA) and directly to tactical users in the field.
